Head of knitting
Jenifer (Click) Ngwere is a migrant, feminist and knitting artist was born and raised in Bikita Minerals, Zimbabwe, in a mine- workers family. She became a guerrilla fighter at the age of 16 at her country’s Liberation Movement, from 1976 to 1980, and then part of the Zimbabwe National Army from 1981 to 1983. Afterwards she completed teacher’s training at Morgenster Teachers’ college and worked as a history teacher. She did further training at the Alvord Training Center and became a trainer for preschool teachers. She also trained as a bee-keeper at the Henderson Research STATIONand was keeping bees, she became a professional beekeeper while her other skills include knitting, embroidering and crocheting .Since childhood Click’s dream was to establish a knitting workshop. After years of working in the domestic sectoring Greece, she created her own business click’s collection Click was celebrated as a hero of independence and as a role model for women in her native country, and two international independent film productions have been shot about her life (Neria & Flame). She is a member of the United African Women’s Organization and the Mandela Gals.Click is a co founder of Melissa Network, Click is a songwriter and a gospel singer
